Dress casual, Dakota had such a fun personality, loved spring and summer. Of course, wear what you're comfortable in but we would love to see you in your most beautiful colors.

Dakota Ann Whitley, 34, passed away in the early hours of May 4, 2024. Born on October 23, 1989, Dakota was the beloved child of Bretley and Regina Whitley. She is survived by her cherished daughters, Kensington and Oaklyn, her amazing and loving parents, siblings Kristin Bundy (Terrell) and Denver Whitley (Courtney), nephews, Brent, Bretley, and River, nieces Tamyra and Karolene, great-nephew Adonis, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins who held a deep affection for her.

Dakota found joy in spending a perfect day at the beach, feeling the sun on her face and the sand between her toes, while listening to the soothing sound of the waves and good music. If she ever invited you for a "jam session," you knew she meant a carefree evening driving around with the windows down, blasting NSYNC on the radio, and sharing smiles with passersby. Dakota's heart belonged to her precious daughters, whom she loved with every fiber of her being, and who in turn adored their mom beyond measures.

Dakota will be missed by everyone who knew her. Her beautiful smile was so contagious & she lit up the room wherever she was. Gone too soon but her sweet soul will be remembered forever. ♥

Dakota and I hadn’t spoke in long time but the bond we had was something that never went away. She was a very important part of my life and we experienced so much together. The memories her and I shared will stay with me forever. I pray for everyone and the girls for comfort during this difficult time.

You left us way too early but the Lord must have needed you more in heaven. It had been a long time since I had seen you and most of my family after I became sick. I hope you knew I loved you with all my heart. I really enjoyed the pictures you sent me of you and your two beautiful little girls. I will cherish them forever. You will continue to live in my heart forever and I promise to keep your memory byalive as long as I am living. I love you. Until I see you again, rest in peace my beautiful angel. Kota 🩷 We had such a special bond that I’m so very thankful for, and memories that I will forever cherish. I’m going to miss you every single day. It won’t feel the same without you here. I promise that your beautiful girls will know their mama’s beautiful spirit, they will hear your silly stories, and all about the parts of you that everyone loved the most.

Listen out for me on sunny days- that’s when I’ll be talking to ya. I love you, best friend- to the moon and back, and to infinity and beyond. 🩷
