David “Dave” A. Capwell, Sr. of Virginia Beach passed away peacefully on

May 25, 2024, after a lengthy illness at the age of 81. He was a native of

Binghamton, N.Y. He graduated from Kings College, Wilkes-Barre

Pennsylvania. The place he met and married the love of his life, Alycia “Lee”

Capwell. Dave worked for over 30 years. He was a manager for Sears,

Roebuck and company and then worked and loved his time spent with his

coworkers/family at Aqua Leisure Pools. After retiring, he spent his time

socializing with friends and sharing his love for cooking along with numerous

conversations of his love for sports. His devotion to his family, friends and

community will be missed by all who loved him.

Dave is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Josephine Capwell and

is survived by Alycia B. Capwell his loving wife of 59 years; daughter Christine,

son and daughter -in -law, three beautiful granddaughters, niece Caroline and

nephew Jeff and brother Dr. Robert Capwell and his wife Mary.
